Remove the file-label clutter
For a query copied from a filename, begin with the movie name and release year. Fragments such as “x265,” “1080p” and “dual audio” describe an edition, not necessarily the title. Look up the production first, then consider its viewing format.
Choose a search mode
Title searches follow names and recorded aliases. Cast searches follow performers. Director searches follow credited filmmakers. If you switch to Cast to find Shah Rukh Khan’s films, switch back to Title for an ordinary movie query.
Separate the two countries
Browse by country follows production credits. Viewing country changes the destination used by Watch now. An Indian production can be watched outside India when an edition is available there; the two controls answer different questions.
Filter in a sensible order
Start with Movies or Series, then add genre or original language. Choose a release year or date range when time matters. Movie-length filters use recorded feature running times, not the length of an entire series. Reset filters if the combination becomes too narrow.
